- Our next guests rose to fame as teenagers. This was in the mid-2000s. They had hits, potential breakup songs. Like woe was another. Now they're all grown up, I guess we can say. Now they're bringing a retro Cali Vibe with their new album, and it's titled-- let me get this right-- A Touch of the Beat gets You Up on Your Feet, Gets You Out and Then Into the Sun. Did I get that right? AMY ROBACH: Yeah. It's fun to say too, right? Singers, songwriters, and sisters Ali and AJ are here to tell us all about it. They're also going to treat us to a special performance. Welcome, ladies. Thank you for being on the show. Tell us about the title. It is, again, fun to say, but tell me about the album itself and why you came up with that title. - We actually came up with the title while we were making the record. We were in the like lunch-break area of Sunset Sound, which is an iconic studio here in Los Angeles. And it derives from a song off of the record called Don't Need Nothing. - Uh, why did you think? And tell me about how you all, over these years, kind of that connection, that vibe. Does it continue? And has, I guess it's lent itself to you all's success. - I think it does, yeah. I think our relationship has grown as we grow up. And I think just our blend as sisters, I think that lends to the way we blend on stage, the harmonies that come out of us, our vocals, our writing abilities. Um, I just feel like as we grow up together, we become stronger musicians together. ALY MICHALKA: Yeah. And we just have now logged so many memories together too. AJ MICHALKA: Yeah. So many hours. ALY MICHALKA: So many hours of memories and inside jokes, and highs and lows. But it's great that we can do it together as-- as a family. AMY ROBACH: Aw, it's so great to see you two over the years too. And I that you're still finishing each other's sentences. You're going out on the road, we know that. We want to thank you, Aly and AJ. Remind everyone the deluxe edition of their latest album drops February 11th. And yes, you can catch them on their upcoming worldwide tour. It kicks off on February 22nd. And so now, performing Slow Dancing, here are Aly and AJ. [MUSIC PLAYING] AJ MICHALKA: (SINGING) It's been days and weeks and months. Feels like forever since I saw you. I'm forgetting how you felt now. I've never had this much time on my hands. - (SINGING) Move the kitchen table out to the lawn. Roll up the rug. The stereo's on. All I can imagine is being in your arms. I want you to know I don't need anything fancy. I just need me and you slow dancing. Hell's bending, keeping me captive. Heaven's here. It's right where you're standing. Slow dancing. ALY MICHALKA: (SINGING) I've got my reasons to complain. And they're tangled in red, white, and blue. The battle outside is blazin'. And all I'm thinking about is you. - (SINGING) Move the kitchen table out to the lawn. Roll up the rug, the stereo's on. All I can imagine is being in your arms. I want you to know I don't need anything fancy. I just need me and you slow dancing. Hell's bending, keeping me captive. Heaven's here. It's right where you're standing. Slow dancing with you. Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh. Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh T.J. HOLMES: And our thanks, of course, to Aly and AJ for spending some time with us here on the show, and for that performance.
